ABOUT ME
Welcome to my little corner of the internet.
I’m Vanessa – and this blog is basically my love letter to life in Vienna and beyond.
Vanivanity is my personal guide to the city and special locations beyond: where to eat, where to drink, where to spend your time if you actually want to feel Vienna and other special places. Not the obvious touristy spots, but those places you stumble upon by accident, the ones locals love and gatekeep a little. The hidden gems, the good vibes, the fancy drinks, the food you keep thinking about days later.
If you love discovering new places, trying new food, sipping cocktails that feel like a small celebration and getting inspired to enjoy life a bit more – you’re definitely in the right place.
Every blogpost is based on my own experiences. Places I’ve been to, places I truly enjoy, places I’d recommend to my friends without hesitation. Honest opinions only. No sugarcoating. And hopefully a little push for you to experience more of what is officially the world’s most livable city.
I started this blog in 2023, so yes – it’s still growing, evolving, changing. Just like me. I created vanivanity because I wanted to show a different side of Vienna. Less cliché, more real life. The kind of Vienna you fall in love with slowly, day by day.
A few things about me:
I was born in 1999 in Slovakia and have been living in Vienna since 2003. I basically grew up here – and the older I get, the more I appreciate this city in a whole new way.
By day, I work as a technical engineer. This blog is my creative escape. A reminder (for you and for me) that life in Vienna isn’t just about work and routines – it’s about experiences, balance and enjoying the little moments. Work-life balance has never been more important, and vanivanity is my way of showing that it’s possible.
Welcome to my Vienna and beyond. ✨
