„I only drink Champagne on two occasions, when I’m in love and when I’m not.“- Coco Chanel; UNO Bar
invitation
There are those days – and I think every one of us knows them. Gray outside, rain lashing against the windows, everything feeling a little heavier than usual. It was exactly one of those days. One of those days when you just want to stay home… or do the exact opposite.
And us? We opted for the opposite. „You know what? Let’s just get dressed up and go for drinks.“ So we did.
Because, honestly, there’s nothing better than just switching off, getting ready, feeling beautiful, and enjoying a few drinks with a good friend. We girls just need that sometimes – and not just sometimes.
And that’s exactly how our evening at UNO Bar began.
Into the darkness
– but the beautiful kind of darkness
The moment you walk in, you realize: UNO Bar isn’t just a place you „visit.“ You immerse yourself.
Everything is done in dark, warm tones. Black elements, deep browns, this subtle interplay of light and shadow. Indirect lighting everywhere, not blinding, but simply creating a mood. The kind that instantly calms you down.
No harsh spotlights, no hustle and bustle—just this subdued, elegant ambiance that almost feels like a secret hideaway. UNO Bar has this „cool, but not pretentious“ vibe. And I love that. It’s the little details—the glasses, the way the bar is lit, the materials, the textures. Everything feels thoughtful, but not cluttered. Just the right balance between modern and cozy.
The kind of place where you automatically end up staying a little longer than you originally planned.
And this feeling pervades the entire evening. You keep looking around, discovering new corners, little highlights you hadn’t even noticed before. It’s not a place that imposes itself, but one that unfolds slowly. The conversations become quieter, time somehow passes more quickly and, at the same time, more consciously. It’s precisely this combination that makes it so special – this feeling of being briefly somewhere else, without actually having to leave.
The perfect start
to our girls‘ night out
We received an incredibly warm welcome – just as you’d hope.
No stress, no rush, just a genuine welcome. And that immediately set the tone for the evening. We took off our jackets, sat down, and took a deep breath. And then it was clear: Our girls‘ night out at UNO Bar was about to begin. And what would such an evening be without the most important part?
Exactly. Cocktails.
I’ll be honest: I love a good cocktail menu, but I hate it when they’re confusing. Too much fancy stuff, too many complicated names, too many unfamiliar ingredients. You sit there, read through it, and end up knowing less than before. It was completely different here. The menu at UNO Bar is really well-organized. Clear, concise, modern – you can find what you’re looking for right away. Whether it’s a classic or something more unusual.
And that’s precisely why our decision was made so quickly. We wanted to start the evening with something classic. My friend: Espresso Martini. Me: Pornstar Martini. Just because… why not?
Cheers to us
and to this evening
The first drinks were in front of us.
And I’ll tell you straight: they already looked perfect. The glasses, the colors, the lighting—everything just came together perfectly. We toasted. And then it began. That typical, unstoppable girl chatter. From „What happened this week?“ to „We absolutely have to travel again.“ I love those conversations. And the cocktails? Really. Really. Good. The UNO Bar definitely has a knack for it. Both drinks were exactly as you’d imagine them—not too sweet, not too strong, just perfectly balanced.
And of course—the best thing about evenings like these: You always try each other’s drinks. It’s practically obligatory.
I have to say this quickly because it’s just part of the routine. I’m the person who ALWAYS tastes everyone’s drinks. Always. Whether it’s friends, family… or my husband. And with my husband, it’s really the same every single time: I taste… and regret it 98% of the time. But I still do it again and again. Why? I have no idea. But that evening at the Uno Bar was different. I suddenly liked my friend’s drink almost as much as my own. A small miracle, then.
When the ambiance is just right
like the both of us
The longer we sat there, the more I noticed how perfectly the overall feeling worked. The UNO Bar has this relaxed yet stylish vibe that doesn’t need to be loud to be present. You feel comfortable. You feel somehow „right.“ It’s not a place where you have to pretend. Not a place where you think, „Oh God, can everyone see me?“ Quite the opposite, in fact.
You’re simply there. With your drink. With your friend. With your thoughts. And that’s exactly what makes the UNO Bar so special.
And then… this idea came. “Let’s shoot an Instagram video.” Completely spontaneous, of course. Without any preparation, of course. Without a tripod, of course. Classic. We looked at each other and were like, “Okay… now what?” And that’s exactly where that moment came that made the evening even better. Our bar manager—who was also our waiter—noticed. And instead of just smiling or ignoring it, he simply said, “Wait a minute.” And not two minutes later, he came back with a box. “This should work.” And there it was. Our improvised tripod.
I love moments like these. Because they show what a place is really like. What the team is like. How flexible, how open, how easygoing. And the UNO Bar definitely delivered.
Gave trust
which I actually never do
And then – of course – came the next logical step:
If we’re already filming a video… we also need a new drink. But this time we wanted to do something different. Something I NEVER normally do. We let the waiter decide. „Just make us something that suits us.“ I’m usually really picky about that. I want to know exactly what I’m drinking. What ingredients, what flavor, everything. But that evening at the UNO Bar, I was somehow open to it.
And I have to say: Best decision ever. We ended up with two completely different drinks.
Both are tequila-based. And both… surprising. Not your typical „tequila = strong and fiery,“ but truly finely balanced. Fresh, exciting, a little different. And that’s exactly what impressed me. It really hit the spot for us. And I think that’s an art. Because, let’s be honest: It’s not hard to make a good drink.
But to truly „read“ someone and serve exactly what suits them? Not many can do that. The UNO Bar can.
Summer in a glass:
Basil Smash
And then… came my personal highlight. To finish: Basil Smash.
And I swear – this drink was like a mini-vacation. Fresh, light, a little tart, a little sweet – that perfect balance that instantly reminds you of summer. Of warm evenings, of holidays, of that feeling when „everything is just right.“ I took the first sip and was immediately like: „Okay, I want more.“ And that’s exactly the problem with really good cocktails. You don’t realize how quickly you finish them.
If I had to sum up my evening at UNO Bar, it wouldn’t just be „perfect cocktails.“
It’s the whole experience. The ambiance. The lighting. The music. The people. The team there is incredibly friendly, attentive, but not intrusive. Just the right mix. You feel seen, but not watched. And that’s rare. Very rare.
UNO Bar manages to make you feel instantly welcome—and at the same time, like you’ve discovered a hidden gem.
my summary
or simply: When are we going again?
This evening was one of those unplanned ones. And that’s exactly why it’s so memorable.
Rain outside. Laughter inside. Good drinks. Even better conversations. And a place that brings it all together perfectly. The UNO Bar is made for moments like these. For spontaneous girls‘ nights out. For „Let’s just go for one drink“ nights (spoiler alert: it never stays at one). For those little escapes from everyday life.
What I also find really exciting: The Uno Bar regularly hosts events. And I think that’s something that’s easy to overlook – but definitely shouldn’t be. Because venues like this get a completely different energy during events. And if a regular evening there is already so good… then I honestly want to know what it’s like during an event. So yes – it’s definitely going on my list.
To be honest, I didn’t have any expectations that evening. I just wanted to get out. Unwind. Laugh. And that’s exactly what I got. The UNO Bar didn’t just impress me—it surprised me. With its style. With its atmosphere. With its team. And especially with its cocktails. And quite honestly? I’m already looking forward to the next rainy day.
Because I know exactly where I’m going again. To the UNO Bar.
