Aura Social Club – my kind of aesthetic wellness

„Your body hears everything your mind says.“; Aura Social Club

I don’t know about you, but sometimes you only realize how tired you really are after a trip. That’s exactly how it was for me after New York. As much as I love that city, the countless steps, the constant being on the go, the lack of sleep, the endless impressions, and that feeling of always being „on“ eventually took their toll. To be honest, my body was completely exhausted. My legs were heavy, my back was stiff, and my mind was still half in Manhattan.

And it’s precisely in moments like these that I realize time and again how important little breaks are. Not that hectic „Sunday self-care,“ but genuine relaxation. Something where you forget, even if just for a moment, that the world outside keeps turning. That’s exactly why I treated myself to an evening at the Aura Social Club – and I’ll tell you quite honestly: it was exactly what I needed.

Seriously, how aesthetically

pleasing can a studio actually be?

I have to talk about the design for a second. Because, seriously—how beautiful is this place?

The entire Aura Social Club embodies exactly what’s currently trending everywhere: Mediterranean minimalism. Clean, warm, calm, modern—but not sterile. Everywhere you look, there are these gorgeous orange and pink accents that instantly radiate coziness without being kitschy. You know me—I love aesthetically pleasing places. Not in that over-the-top Instagram way, but locations that simply convey a certain atmosphere. Places where you automatically unwind.

And that’s exactly what the Aura Social Club achieves. It doesn’t feel like a typical studio. Not like something clinical or artificial. But rather like a modern little wellness oasis that you’d almost rather keep secret.

My lucky break that evening? I was there completely alone. Really alone. And that meant I could take photos for you in peace, without disturbing anyone or constantly having to worry about someone walking through the frame. A little moment of luxury that I honestly enjoyed immensely.

From Pilates

to a hidden wellness oasis

Anyone familiar with the Aura Social Club probably thinks of Reformer Pilates first. And yes – that’s exactly what’s in the basement, along with the men’s changing room and another room. At first glance, everything down there seems rather functional and almost a bit unassuming.

But hidden there is something I honestly hadn’t expected.

Because right in the middle of the basement, there’s suddenly a small wellness oasis that makes you feel, for a brief moment, as if you’re no longer in the heart of Vienna. As soon as you enter, the atmosphere completely changes. It becomes quieter, warmer, and somehow instantly more relaxing.

And that’s exactly what I love about places like this: when you’d never expect something from the outside – and then you just think: Wow.

My body was screaming:

Please, a massage!

After New York, one thing was absolutely clear to me: I desperately needed a deeply relaxing massage.

Not just „loosening up my shoulders a little,“ but a real one. That feeling when tension finally melts away and you realize your body is slowly returning to normal. That’s why I opted for a full-body deep tissue massage at the aura social club. The treatment lasts about 60 minutes and is perfect when your body is simply tired.

I also booked a face sculpting massage, which lasts about 30 minutes. And honestly – if you’re going to do pampering, do it right. Especially in summer, I notice how quickly fatigue, stress, or even travel show on my face. Everything feels heavier somehow. That’s why the combination of the two sounded absolutely perfect.

Four oils

and a surprisingly difficult decision

Before the treatment, I was able to choose between four different oils. I wish I were the person who could remember them all—but I’m not. To be honest, I only remembered the one I ultimately chose: Activ. Slightly lemony, fresh, and gently invigorating. And I have to say: It was perfect. It suited the warm weather, the atmosphere of the studio, and somehow also my mood that evening.

Because sometimes, during a spa treatment, you don’t want to fall completely asleep, but rather leave with that feeling of being both relaxed and refreshed.

Once you’ve changed and lain down, the relaxation begins. The lights are dimmed significantly, instantly creating a tranquil atmosphere. No harsh lamps, no distractions. A gentle melody plays through the speakers – just enough to help you unwind. And that’s exactly what I loved.

In my opinion, the Aura Social Club truly understands that wellness isn’t just about the treatment itself. It’s about the whole feeling before, during, and after. That feeling of „Right now, you don’t have to do anything at all.“ No cell phone. No to-do list. No emails. Just a moment of peace and quiet.

Deep tissue massage:

Exactly what my body needed.

Since we focused mainly on my legs and back during the massage, it was absolutely perfect for me after the trip. And I’ll be honest with you: when you’re constantly on the go in this unbearable heat and doing so much walking, things just build up. Your legs especially start to feel heavy after a while. Your back tenses up. Everything just feels kind of „tight.“ And that’s exactly why the treatment at the Aura Social Club wasn’t just nice for me, but truly necessary.

The movements were firm, yet pleasant. Exactly the balance I find so important in wellness. Not so gentle that you don’t feel a thing – but also not so intense that you’re completely exhausted afterward.

The minutes really flew by.

Do you know that feeling when you briefly forget where you are? Exactly like that. I would have loved to take photos during the treatment, but honestly: I was so focused on relaxing in that moment that I completely forgot about my phone. And that was probably a good thing.

Face sculpting:

An underestimated treatment

Then it was on to the Face Sculpting Massage. I have to be honest: I find these kinds of treatments incredibly exciting.

Especially when you’re traveling a lot, getting little sleep, or simply looking exhausted, you immediately notice how much tension is actually stored in your face. And that’s precisely why the combination of Deep Tissue and Face Sculpting at the Aura Social Club felt so perfectly suited to me. A little bit of wellness for the body and at the same time something that also gives my face a fresh look.

And that’s exactly what I wanted after New York. Not to „glow up.“ But simply to look like myself again. Rested. Fresher. Lighter.

I think that true wellness luxury these days is primarily about time. Time without sensory overload. Time without stress. Time in which you’re not constantly consuming or doing something. And that’s precisely why I found my evening at the Aura Social Club so wonderful. It wasn’t a hectic experience. Not a place where people were constantly coming and going. No loud atmosphere. Just peace and quiet.

Almost as if Vienna itself became quieter for a moment.

The Matcha Moment

at the End

And then came honestly one of my favorite moments.

To finish, I got an iced matcha latte. And somehow, that was exactly the kind of ending the evening needed. I sat there, completely relaxed, refreshed, calm, and simply happy. Truly happy. The Aura Social Club managed to make me feel not only better physically afterward, but also much lighter mentally.

And sometimes, it’s precisely these little moments that you remember later. Not the big things. But that feeling of: Wow, that really did me good.

my summary

Is the Aura Social Club worth it for wellness in Vienna?

Absolutely: Yes.

Especially if you’re not just looking for any old massage, but a complete experience. For me, the Aura Social Club isn’t just a place for treatments. It feels more like a small, modern wellness oasis in the heart of Vienna – aesthetically pleasing, tranquil, and incredibly relaxing.

Especially if you work a lot, travel a lot, or simply want to completely unwind, I can highly recommend an evening there. I arrived with heavy legs and left feeling completely light. And after my trip to New York, I honestly couldn’t have imagined a better place for a bit of pampering.
