Ibiza Closing – exclusive luxury meets beats

„Experience Ibiza with all your senses and feel alive“

There are vacations you just do. Sun, beach, a good hotel, a bit of sightseeing, and that’s it. And then there are vacations like Ibiza – an island that defies categorization. My best friend and I went there last weekend. And what can I say: Ibiza isn’t a destination, it’s a state of being. It’s its own universe with rules that only apply there.

We chose the Amàre Hotel in San Antonio – and this hotel was pretty much everything you’d expect from Ibiza: lots of pools, music everywhere, DJs playing early in the morning, and an atmosphere you usually only see at beach parties in music videos. Everything is stylish, everything screams summer, freedom, and „let’s have fun.“

The hotel

– pool vibes and balcony talks

The main pool was a world of its own. Huge, turquoise blue, with comfortable loungers you’d never want to leave. Even the towels were a treat: soft and fluffy, so you almost forgot you were actually lying on a lounger. Drinks? Snacks? No problem at all – the service was quick and attentive, so you didn’t even have a chance to complain about anything.

But the truly exciting thing about the pool wasn’t the swimming or relaxing—it was the observing. Because at Amàre, there were people you could almost call characters. Each with their own story, each a bit like they’d stepped straight out of a fashion magazine. Ibiza, after all. You can tell that people aren’t just vacationing here, but that many want to show off—outfits, moves, and drinks

Our room:

Our room was on the first floor. Large, bright, and modern—and with a balcony that practically became our second living room (dorm). There was a large daybed there, and we spent what felt like hours just sitting there, chatting, listening to music, and watching the hustle and bustle around us. That „we’re just sitting there and enjoying the moment“ feeling was priceless.

My best friend, however, had a different highlight: the minibar. It was almost like Christmas, only in miniature. Everything you could imagine – in miniature. From chocolate to small bottles, everything was there. I was convinced it was included because the items were restocked every day. Unfortunately, it wasn’t. And honestly, that’s something hotels in Ibiza really need to change. You already pay a hefty price here – at least the water and snacks in the minibar could be included.

Breakfast heaven deluxe

If there’s one thing I really have to highlight at Amàre, it’s breakfast. You’re escorted to your table by a waiter, and then a buffet opens up that’s almost ridiculously large. I felt like it was the biggest buffet of my life. Everything was perfectly arranged, fresh, clean, and presented in such a way that just looking at it makes you hungry.

And even though it was busy, I never felt like I had to fight for my food. Everyone relaxed and took what they wanted, and the atmosphere was pleasant. A bit like a luxury resort, only in the middle of Ibiza, where you hear the first beats in the morning while enjoying your croissants.

First night:

Foam up to the neck at Es Paradis

Of course, we wouldn’t be us if we hadn’t gone to a club on our very first night. We chose Es Paradis, a club that, from the outside, looks like a gigantic illuminated pyramid. Sounds like Ibiza, right?

But we were massively mistaken about the music in Ibiza. Naive as I was, I thought: Spain, so there’s bound to be some Latino. Maybe a few reggaeton hits. Nope. In Ibiza, there’s techno, house, and R&B – all without exception. Too bad for someone like me, who doesn’t have much to do with that.

The funny thing about it: We weren’t the only ones. The club had room for several hundred people, but that evening, honestly, there were maybe thirty there. The DJ? Stubborn as a mule, just playing his beats. Everyone was just waiting for the foam that had been announced.

And when it came – wow. It started at 3:00 a.m., and within a very short time, the dance floor was a sea of foam. First ankle-high, then knee-high, and finally up to my head. I had my phone, my shoes, and my bag over my head so they wouldn’t completely disappear. Totally crazy – in Austria, a foam party like that would be unthinkable. But there? Completely normal. And somehow also one of the funniest highlights of our trip.

O Beach Ibiza

– Daytime Madness

The day at O Beach Ibiza was a show in itself. We took the ferry over – ten minutes, super cheap, and you’re instantly immersed in another world. From the outside, the club looks almost inconspicuous, but as soon as you walk through the gates, you know: This is no ordinary pool club. The energy was incredible. Young people, all of whom seemed to have styled themselves like models. You look around, and it’s a constant parade. But not unpleasantly, more like you’re at a gigantic summer party where everyone is giving their all.

Spectacular shows were performed above the pool – acrobats, dancers, performances that surprised you again and again. Add to that the sun blazing above you, drinks in hand, and music that constantly drives you on.

What fascinated me: The club has little nooks and crannies everywhere that you don’t even recognize at first glance. Lounges, hidden spots, bars that seem to open up on their own. It was like a labyrinth full of possibilities, and you couldn’t possibly discover everything in one afternoon.
We stayed three or four hours – which was perfectly sufficient, because the whole thing was so intense. But the feeling of standing there, in the middle of the pool, with this show around you, was so typically Ibiza that you simply had to experience it.

[UNVRS]

– another dimension

And then came [UNVRS] – the biggest club in the world. I swear, the sheer size of the place left me speechless. We’re not talking about a few dance floors here, but a venue that feels like a city within a city. Crowds all wanting one thing: to party.

On Friday, David Guetta himself was DJing there – and for that reason alone, it was clear we were going. The anticipation was huge, and when we finally got inside, it was simply surreal. Thousands of people, lights, lasers, fog – and in the middle of it all was Guetta, steering the crowd with his beats like a captain a ship.

The music was—unsurprisingly—techno, house, the classic Ibiza sounds. Not my thing, but the atmosphere still swept me away. It was like a huge festival, just under one roof.

What surprised me most was the people’s style. Ibiza has its own trends, and cowboy boots seem to be a must. Literally everyone was wearing them, as if we were somewhere in the Wild West, only with glitter and neon lights.
It was intense, loud, full of energy—and exactly what you’d expect from Ibiza. I don’t know if I’d need it every weekend, but as a one-off experience, it was incredible.

Nikki Beach

– the Ibiza you dream of

When I think back on the entire trip, Nikki Beach remains my personal favorite. This location had everything I hoped for in Ibiza, without all the over-the-top.

As soon as you arrive, you notice that the setting is designed for luxury, but in a relaxed way. White lounges, large umbrellas, a pool that looks like something out of a glossy magazine, and the typical „Nikki Beach“ vibe you might already know from St. Tropez or Mykonos.

And then the food…

What was special? The music. Finally, no constant techno blaring, but summery beats that put you in a good mood. You sat there, sipped a cocktail, let the sun shine on you, and simply felt like you’d arrived.

And then the food – wow. We tried our way through the menu, and everything was truly top-notch. Fresh, perfectly presented, and the taste was exactly what you’d expect from a beach club in this league. It was the kind of place where you really stay because you don’t miss anything. Everyone was laughing, everyone was having fun, and you could feel that the people here weren’t just looking to be seen, but simply enjoying life.

Compared to the big clubs, it almost felt like a little escape within Ibiza. A place where you can recharge your batteries while still being in the middle of things. I would go back anytime – and honestly, Nikki Beach was probably the highlight of our entire trip.

Hï Ibiza

– Tipis, vibes and a small parallel universe

Ushuaïa was actually our plan. Everyone’s talking about this club; it’s practically a must-see in Ibiza. But we two idiots were too slow – we checked the opening times at 8 p.m., and they said it was only open until 11 p.m. So, way too late to get in. But don’t stress, there’s always a plan B in Ibiza. And so we ended up at Hï Ibiza, which, funnily enough, is right next door.

And this club is truly an experience in itself. Huge, with several dance floors all playing in parallel. Of course, playing the same music – techno again, house, the typical beats that everyone there loves or at least accepts. But the exciting thing wasn’t the floors themselves, but what was happening around them.

Outside, there are huge open-air spaces that feel like little oases. You step outside, take a deep breath after all the fog and lights inside – and suddenly you’re standing in front of teepees. Yes, real teepees. With cushions, loungers, and cozy corners where people are just hanging out, as if they were at a festival in the desert. It’s exactly that „crazy Ibiza“ moment where you think: Who would think of that? But it fits perfectly.

What I liked: At Hï, there wasn’t that „we all have to show off“ feeling like in other clubs. Sure, the outfits were flashy as always, but the atmosphere was more relaxed. You could party, dance, chill outside for a bit, then go back inside. Everything had this flow, as if the night would never end

my summary

a world of its own

If I had to summarize our weekend, I’d say: Ibiza isn’t a vacation, Ibiza is an experience. An island that has it all—sun, luxury, crazy parties, but also moments where you can just sit by the pool, sip cocktails, and people-watch. It feels like a stage where everyone is somehow filming their own movie.

Of course, the music wasn’t my highlight. Techno and house will simply never be my thing. But that’s exactly what’s so exciting: even if the sound isn’t 100% right, the atmosphere will captivate you so much that you’ll still have an unforgettable evening. And let’s be honest—how often in your life do you find yourself up to your neck in foam at a foam party or see David Guetta live in a club so big you feel like you’re in another galaxy?

So yes: even though I still won’t love the music, Ibiza was pure inspiration for me. A weekend full of stories you can only experience there. And one thing is certain: once you’ve been there, you’ll understand why Ibiza is such a world of its own—a world you’ll always want to return to.

XoXo, Vani
