I have to admit, I love discovering new leisure activities. Especially when they’re as cool as the new minigolf course at the DSTRCT Entertainment Center in the SCS (Shopping City Süd) near Vienna. Here, you won’t just find the usual round of minigolf, but a real experience that’s guaranteed to make you laugh with friends or family. So, if you’re in the mood for something different than just going to the park or shopping, this is the perfect spot for a little getaway.
What immediately impressed me was the ambiance. The entire surface of the minigolf course is covered with green artificial grass, which immediately gives you the feeling of being outside in a park, even though you’re obviously in an indoor area. It feels like playing a round of mini golf outdoors – only without the typical vagaries of the weather that can often spoil your fun.

The minigolf course is located on the first floor of the DSTRCT and is easily accessible via the escalator. The first impression upon entering the course was an immediate „wow“ – not only because of the cool design, but also because of the unusual holes. It’s not just about playing a few holes and hoping to hit them well. No, the courses at the DSTRCT are much more than that.
These are unique courses that require a great deal more tactics, skill, and patience. There are no boring, standard minigolf holes like those you might find at other courses, but rather creative obstacles that will truly challenge you. After just the first few shots, you’ll realize that the goal here isn’t simply to get the ball in the hole. You have to consider how best to get the ball over the obstacles, which angles to choose, and when it’s wiser to hold back a bit and play carefully. It’s definitely a great challenge, and one that gives you the feeling of truly having achieved something when you’ve completed a difficult hole.

If you’re looking for a course that really challenges you, this is the right place for you. The lighthouse at the end of the course is the highlight and truly impressive.
Turbulence:
This is where things get a little wilder. This course feels like you’re boarding a roller coaster—only on a miniature golf course. The obstacles are really creative, and it’s just a lot of fun.
Spacejump:
For anyone with a passion for space, this course is a must. It feels like traveling to another galaxy—with colorful lights and a futuristic design that looks absolutely stunning.
My victory
In fact, I never needed more than four strokes to complete each hole—which I acknowledged with a small sense of triumph, of course, since my husband, although he played really well, couldn’t quite keep up. You can tell that the design of the courses is truly intended to be fun, but also a bit challenging. It’s not just about being fast, but also about playing smart. You really have to think about which movement works best. If you think mini golf is easy, you’ll definitely be proven wrong here.
Another great feature was the bar, located in the middle of the minigolf course. A real highlight! At each hole, you have the opportunity to place your drink on a special tray provided for each hole. And the best part? The waiter comes directly to you at the hole to serve your drinks. It almost feels like VIP service, offering you the little luxury of not having to worry about anything while you’re in the middle of a fun game. The service was fast, friendly, and really convenient—especially when you’re in the middle of a game and don’t feel like constantly running to the bar.

The overall atmosphere was simply perfect for a relaxing Friday evening. The minigolf course is modern, yet cozy. There was no rush, and you could fully concentrate on the game. The courses are well-lit, and the design details are truly impressive—it feels like you’re playing in a small, stylish mini golf world that goes far beyond the usual courses.

For me personally, the mini golf at DSTRCT was a very pleasant surprise. Not only does it offer a welcome change from the usual leisure activities, but it also provides a truly memorable experience that will stay with you for a long time. The courses are exceptional, the service is top-notch, and the atmosphere is simply perfect for a relaxed yet exciting evening. I highly recommend it, especially if you want to try something new with friends or family. And for those who love winning like me, it’s even more fun when you can say „I won!“ as you head home.
All in all, it was a thoroughly successful evening, one we’ll definitely repeat. Maybe next time with even more wins on my side—who knows? In any case, I already know that DSTRCT Minigolf is setting a new standard for minigolf experiences in Vienna. There’s something for everyone here: fun, a challenge, and a bit of luxury thanks to the great service.
