Munich Outfits – simple and elegant

Three days in Munich, three outfits – and a bag that went everywhere. Our little anniversary trip to Bavaria wasn’t just a culinary journey (Therme Erding, Hofbräuhaus, breakfast at Cotidiano – don’t get me started), but also a little fashion game. I love adapting outfits to the mood of a place. And Munich? The city has a certain casual elegance, never too much, but also never too little. That’s exactly what I tried to reflect in my looks.

Outfit 1:

Elegant meets beer garden

For our first evening—dinner at the Hofbräuhaus—I wanted something comfortable yet chic. I chose black, straight-cut trousers that fit almost tailor-made. I paired them with a soft white cotton cardigan, which I casually wore over my shoulders as we strolled through the Old Town. The brown sneakers were the perfect contrast: sporty, yet harmonious thanks to the muted brown. Somehow, they were just the right amount of „I’ll make an effort, but I’ll also drink a shandy.“
And yes, it was exactly as cozy as it sounds.

Outfit 2:

Knitwear love and a little Chanel vibe

The second day was cooler—typical early summer, relying on the sun only to be surprised by 14 degrees. Luckily, I had packed my long, fitted knit dress in deep blue. It feels like a warm hug and looks wonderfully grown-up. The ballet flats to go with it? A dream! Beige with a black toe cap—and yes, they’re reminiscent of those classic Chanel shoes, but without the price tag.
The icing on the cake: my short green trench coat. It’s seen me through many capricious weather changes and always gives me that „I’ve got my life together“ vibe. (Even if I just came from the spa with wet hair.)

Outfit 3:

Summer in the city

On Friday, Munich showed its midsummer side – almost 30 degrees Celsius, plenty of sunshine. For the last day (and the long stroll through the city), I needed something airy that wouldn’t sweep me away immediately. I chose a black A-line dress, short and flowing, with a fine fabric that felt comfortable against the skin.
Originally, I wanted to pair it with ballet flats, but then I thought about the many steps, the cobblestones, and the fact that I didn’t want to deal with blister plasters in the afternoon. So, I wore my brown sneakers again – this time very practical yet stylish.
But one thing that was definitely part of every outfit was my Cyme Mini in brown.

I’ll be honest – it’s the most beautiful bag I’ve ever owned. Perfect size, great leather, somehow luxurious yet down-to-earth. It truly enhanced every outfit and was my most faithful companion in Munich.

SUMMARY

Munich, fashion and me

I love how clothes tell stories. How they show how you feel—or want to feel. In Munich, I was sometimes casual, sometimes elegant, sometimes playful. Just like the city itself. I think that’s the beauty of fashion when traveling: You become a little part of the place without losing yourself.

And if I’ve learned one thing: A good pair of sneakers saves the day. And a really nice bag saves any outfit.
