„Always have fun with fashion, dress to entertain yourself.“- Betsey Johnson, Summer Holiday Outfits

For me, vacation isn’t just sun, beach, and Aperol liqueur—it’s also finally the opportunity to wear outfits that get far too little attention in everyday life. You probably know the feeling: at home, you often spend ages standing in front of the wardrobe, never feeling like wearing „too much,“ and in the end, you reach for jeans anyway. But on vacation? A little more fashion is okay—even if things are supposed to be pretty relaxed.
My summer vacation in Jesolo was just such a mix of relaxing, searching for Aperol, and evening strolls along the promenade. And of course, I packed my suitcase for every evening—and for our little trip to Venice—so I always had the right look ready. Today, I’ll take you through my five summer holiday outfits—perhaps one or two of them will inspire you for your next trip to the seaside.
Evening 1
Easy & Black 👗
The first evening of a vacation is always a bit of a „arriving“ moment for me. You’ve spent a whole day driving or flying, you check into the hotel, maybe unpack a bit, get your first drink – and then it’s almost time for dinner.
I honestly had zero desire for complicated styling that evening. So I opted for my light black dress with thin straps. It’s super easy, always flattering, and you immediately feel comfortable.
Add to that my famous heeled flip-flops—I affectionately call them my „flip-flops with heels.“ They’re actually simple black sandals, but they have that tiny heel that instantly makes any outfit a little more elegant. I swear, shoes like these are a vacation must-have: you can walk forever in them without your feet giving out, and you still don’t look like you just stumbled straight from the beach to the restaurant.
So, on the first evening, I sat by the sea, my hair slightly tousled by the wind, Aperol in my hand—and felt simply ready to start my vacation looks.
Evening 2
Bandeau Love 🖤
On the second evening, I wanted a little more. You might already know my black bandeau dress from Instagram – I absolutely love it. It fits perfectly, is uncomplicated, and at the same time so elegant that you could wear it every night.
This time, I paired it with my kitten-heel slingbacks – also in black. Let me tell you: kitten heels are my personal summer discovery. They’re comfortable, they look chic, and you can wear them with dresses, trousers, or even jeans. Somehow, you manage to look not overdressed, but never underdressed either.
I also wore my small white handbag, which really catches the eye. I love it when a simple outfit can be broken up with a little detail like that. Black and white is a combo that never goes out of style anyway.
The look was perfect for an evening on the promenade. We strolled through the bars, enjoying pizza to go along the way – and I felt truly „Italian chic“ in this outfit. Definitely one of my favorite holiday outfits of the summer.
Day 3
Venice Calling 🇮🇹
If you’re already in Jesolo, a quick trip to Venice is a must. I’ve been there several times, but the city always has that same magic, as if you were seeing it for the first time.
The weather was windier that day, so I opted for something more practical: my dark blue, long linen trousers. Guys, if you’re looking for a summer investment – buy yourself some really good linen trousers! They look classy, are pleasantly airy, and super comfortable at the same time.
I wore a short tank top with it – very simple, but a perfect contrast to the wide-legged trousers. I rounded it all off with a small, round shoulder bag, which was perfect for keeping my hands free. And yes, in Venice, you need your hands free – if only to have your phone ready for photos at all times.
That day, we explored the typical alleys, got lost, found each other again, and of course, embarked on a mission: to find the best Aperol bar. Spoiler alert: we found it. And later, I sat in exactly this look on the Grand Canal, overlooking the gondolas, and thought to myself: it couldn’t get any better. A practical yet stylish holiday outfit for sightseeing and Aperol sessions.
Evening 4
lue & Elegant 💙
Back in Jesolo, on the fourth evening, I unpacked my airy, long, blue dress. Some outfits are real „mood lifts“ for me – as soon as I put them on, I simply feel a bit more elegant, a bit more glamorous. This dress is definitely one of them.
You might remember – I wore it in the blog post about the wedding in Romania. It’s one of those dresses that you can wear again and again and yet never get bored.
I paired it with my white mules—super comfortable, yet elegant—and, of course, my white bag again. I swear, this bag was my best companion on this vacation. Sometimes a single accessory, used skillfully over and over again, is all it takes to add variety to a vacation outfit.
In this look, I was perfectly styled for a fancier dinner. And yes, maybe I deserved a bit more Aperol in this outfit than on the other evenings.
Evening 5
Little Ballerina 🤎
The last evening is always bittersweet for me. You look forward to another nice dinner, but in the back of your mind you already know: tomorrow you’re going back. For this evening, I chose an outfit that’s particularly dear to my heart: my brown strappy dress.
This dress is special – it sits almost like a corset at the waist and then falls straight down. The fabric is a bit sturdier, which gives the whole thing a special shape. Every time I wear it, I feel like a little ballerina – even though the color isn’t the classic pink, but rather brown.
I added my black heeled flip-flops (Team Heeled Flip-Flops, you know what I mean!) and my white bag again. A simple look, but just right for this last evening. We ended the evening quietly – a walk, dessert, one last look at the sea. And I just felt comfortable in this outfit. Definitely the perfect end to my holiday looks in Jesolo.
my summary
Summer holiday outfits made easy ✨
What this vacation showed me again: You don’t need 20 different outfits in your suitcase to be well-dressed every day. If you have a few good basics—a black dress, linen pants, a striking accessory—you can create so many holiday outfits from them.
And honestly, vacation isn’t about standing in front of the mirror for hours. It’s about having outfits that make you feel confident and relaxed while drinking Aperol, walking on the beach, or strolling through the alleys of Venice.
I hope my five summer holiday outfits give you some inspiration for your next trip. Whether you’re going to Jesolo, Greece, or simply a city break—sometimes a single dress or pair of favorite pants is enough to create countless holiday looks.

✨ Now my question to you: Which outfit would be your favorite? Team black bandeau dress, team linen pants, or maybe the blue summer dress?
