Welcome to my very own wishlist for January 2026!
When January arrives, it always feels like a quiet restart. Not that hectic New Year’s resolution stress, but more like a quiet, „Okay… Now we’ll take a deep breath and make it beautiful.“ December is over (and with it, the magic of Christmas lights), but January has its own kind of glow—a little clearer, a little calmer, but full of ideas that haven’t yet been voiced. That’s why, for me personally, this month is like a trial run for the new year.
This is my January wishlist: things that not only look beautiful but also resonate with me—they give me peace, structure, warmth, a touch of style, and the feeling that this new month is a good friend who says: Let’s take our time.
1. The Blazer
— but the grown-up cool kind
The first must-have in January? A blazer, but not just any blazer. A blazer that says: I’m not here to be loud—I’m here to have style. Not your classic office blazer, but something with character: oversized, soft cut, neutral tone (taupe, greige, soft beige, maybe a warm gray) that goes with everything—from morning coffee to dinner with friends.
In my mind, I imagine:
• A blazer over a fine turtleneck, without anything planned underneath
• Paired with jeans or chinos, but never „too perfect“
• And preferably with flat boots or sneakers
It’s this cool-girl piece that instantly makes every look more relaxed. The blazer in January isn’t just a garment—it’s a kind of soft frame for every little moment this month: a stroll through town, a warm coffee, a walk through the first snow. A blazer that feels like a statement without being loud.
2. The scent
— that makes the whole city a little warmer
In January, the wind blows cold, but I want my fragrance to keep me warm. Not heavy, not overly wintry—more of an elegant, subtle perfume with woody and powdery notes that suits every moment:
Breakfast at home, a coffee run, dinner with friends, a walk along the Danube.
I imagine myself applying it in the morning and feeling it with my very first breath: That’s my January vibe: warm, elegant, a little sophisticated. A fragrance that doesn’t overwhelm you, but envelops you. No „Wow!“ in the room—more of a „Hmm… nice.“ Just the way I like it. Because there’s nothing worse than walking around like a cloud of perfume.
3. A knit
— that feels like a hug
Knitwear is as much a part of January as Christmas lights are to December—only without the kitsch, more with style. While December thrives on glitter and scented candles, January, for me, is all about true comfort:
Cashmere sweaters, flowing knit dresses, cardigans that feel almost like a second skin—but with a certain elegance. I don’t just want to be warm. I want to look warm. So warm that I feel good even when there are gray clouds outside and I’ve just been for a walk.
The perfect knitwear for January?
• Loosely cut, but not shapeless
• In neutral, warm tones
• And so soft that you want to wear it every day
Knitwear that feels like a subtle luxury—not loud, but noticeable.
4. A bag
— that fits every moment
I think my past bag wishlists have shown that a bag is more than an accessory—it’s a feeling. Not just „any“ bag, but one you want to reach for again and again, whether you’re going to work, out to dinner, or just popping to the market.
For January 2026, I envision:
• a clean, structured design
• high-quality, neutral colors (cream, cognac, black)
• classic elegance with a modern twist. Not trend-dependent, but timeless—a bag that instantly completes any look.
And perhaps it’s even the bag that says:
You can go out again. You can be seen—but quietly, with style.
5. A small ritual for every morning
— it’s about you
January isn’t a month for grand resolutions. It’s a month for small rituals that feel like self-care. Not those over-optimized morning routines—but real, simple habits that brighten the day. Rituals that don’t create pressure, but rather space. That demand nothing and yet sustain you.
My image of this:
• Coffee by the window, without my phone, while the city slowly awakens
• A few minutes of writing: unfiltered thoughts, without expectations
• Walks where I don’t rush, but stop, observe, and breathe
No plan, no to-do list—just small things that are mine and keep me grounded this month. Moments that feel almost insignificant, but bring order to something within me. Because style isn’t just about clothes. Style is also how you start your day—with calm, with feeling, and with time for yourself. It’s these quiet mornings that define January for me. When nothing is urgent and everything is allowed. When I allow myself to slow down, without guilt. These rituals aren’t rules—they’re small promises to myself. And perhaps that’s precisely the greatest luxury of this month: time that revolves around me.
6. Something special for
“Home Me Moments”
January is the month when you truly arrive home. Not because you have no plans—but because you feel that home is a feeling. Therefore: a touch of home luxury that simply makes every day more beautiful.
This could be:
• a particularly beautiful drinking glass
• a book you want to read
• a velvety blanket
• or a candle set that avoids kitsch and instead creates atmosphere.
Something that not only makes your four walls look cozy but truly feels like home. These little things are like silent companions through January—waiting for you when everything outside is gray. Home Me Moments that smile at you when you close the front door behind you. That remind you that sometimes this is exactly what you need: to arrive, breathe out, and stay.
my summary
– a snapshot of your mood
This January wishlist isn’t an ultimate must-have shopping guide. It’s a snapshot of your mood. An invitation to experience this month consciously—with style, warmth, structure, and those little moments that suddenly make January feel completely different.
It’s not just about things. It’s about feelings: warm fabrics, understated elegance, small rituals and the certainty that this month—with all that it can be—is a great start. What I wish for myself (and maybe for you too):
That we not only survive January, but embrace it. With a blazer that makes us feel confident—and with rituals that gently accompany us. ❤️
