Welcome to my very own wishlist for September 2025!

So, hand on heart – who even felt summer this year? Not really. Sure, a few days of sun here, two or three weeks of reasonably warm weather there – but it was actually a summer to forget. You’d barely slip into a dress after work when the cold wind came around the corner again in the evening. Balcony evenings with Aperol at sunset? More like blanket and tea than sundowner. Honestly: Nobody wants this strange summer of 2025 anymore, which somehow only dropped by for a moment.
And the best part? We’re all so ready for fall.
Autumn means new outfits, fresh styles, cozy vibes, and a wishlist longer than any to-do list at the office. Because let’s be honest – September feels like a mini-fresh start. Vacations are over, the first overtime hours are already on the calendar, the city is full of people in a „back-to-reality“ mood. And if we’re going to be catapulted back into everyday life, at least let’s do it in style.
So, let’s go: This is my very personal wishlist for September – things you want to have, wear, or enjoy right now.
1. Leather jackets
– the eternal classic
There are some pieces that simply never get old. Leather jackets are one of them. I swear, a cool leather jacket is the answer to everything. Dress? Throw on a leather jacket, and you’ll look not only romantic but also edgy. Sweatpants? Throw on a leather jacket, and suddenly it looks like „casual street style.“ Jeans, business pants, or even a slip dress—leather jackets always work.
On my wishlist this time is an oversized version in black with a slightly boxy cut. The vibe: ’90s meets biker chic, but suitable for everyday wear. Paired with a small crossbody bag and chunky sneakers? The perfect transitional outfit. And the best part: you can throw it over anything without giving it much thought, and you still look like you’ve been planning the outfit for ten minutes.
2. Leo Style
– louder than ever
Anyone who thought leopard print was a thing of the past was wrong. The leopard print style is back—not subtly, but with real confidence. Whether it’s ballet flats, dresses, or small accessories—the pattern screams, „Here I am!“ And in fall, leopard print looks even cooler because it can be combined with darker tones.
On my wishlist are leopard-print ballet flats, which can easily be combined with a simple black outfit. This way, it doesn’t look too over the top, but rather classy with a touch of wildness. Honestly: leopard isn’t a trend; it’s a way of life. It has that wink of „Yes, I know, I stand out—and I love it.“
3. The bag from
DeMellier London
Handbags are my weakness—and I absolutely need a new one in September. At the top of my wish list: a bag from DeMellier London. Dark brown, suede-look, a bit minimalist, but still with that certain something.
The vibe is „understated luxury“—perfect for fall, when we’re running around the city more, switching from meetings to dinners, and need a bag that can do it all. I can already picture it: paired with a long trench coat, boots, and a coffee to go. That’s exactly how fall feels to me. A bag that doesn’t need loud logos to be classy.

4. Sunglasses
– chic despite everyday stress
Yes, sunglasses in the fall. Some people think that’s an exaggeration – but let’s be honest: especially in September, when the sun is low in the sky, you need them even more than in the height of summer. And besides, there’s no faster way to look chic and casual on the street, even if you’re just stumbling out of the office on your third overtime hour.
My wish list is still undecided: Should I go all in and treat myself to a Miu Miu? Or is a cool Mango version enough for the transition? Both have something. The important thing is that the glasses are big, have a bit of drama, and go perfectly with messy hair and a coffee cup. Throw a coat over your shoulders—and voila, it looks like a street style photo.
5. Dark Lips
– Espresso Señorita
In summer, I like glowy skin and light nude lips. But in fall? It’s okay to go dark. Darker makeup, especially on the lips, is the season’s must-have for me. A bold burgundy or an almost black brown—nothing screams „Dark Romance“ like this.
On my wishlist is a lipstick that screams „Espresso Señorita.“ Matte texture, long-wearing, but not drying. Because, we know: Nobody wants to touch up every 20 minutes. Add a simple eyeliner, and you look ready for anything—whether it’s dinner, a night at the bar, or just a quick grocery run where you just happen to look perfect. And the best part: dark lips instantly add drama to everyday life—in the best sense of the word.
6. Oversized scarves
– wrapped in cozy
There’s nothing better than wrapping yourself in a huge scarf in the fall. Oversized, soft, and preferably in muted colors like camel, dark gray, or forest green. One made of cashmere is on my wish list—yes, a little luxury is a must.
The trick: A large scarf can save your entire outfit. Jeans, a sweater, boots—throw it on, and suddenly you look like a fashion blogger. It’s also practical. Whether in the office, on the train, or taking a walk through the park—you immediately feel cozy. And let’s be honest, when it unexpectedly gets cooler in the evening, a scarf like this is a lifesaver.
7. Cowboy boots
– Western vibes in the city
Forget chunky boots – cowboy boots are back this fall! And not just for festivals, but for the city. On my wish list: a pair in black or cognac, with a slight heel and beautiful embroidery. They instantly add that touch of „Western coolness“ to any outfit.
The best part? Cowboy boots are incredibly versatile. You can wear them with dresses, skirts, or, more classically, with jeans. They instantly make a statement in any look—a little wild, a little free, and perfect for keeping the vibe going even on gray autumn days. Autumn can also be a little rebellious.
8. Autumnal candles
– Cozy vibes at home
Okay, guilty pleasure: candles. But in autumn, they’re simply a must. Pumpkin spice, cinnamon, vanilla, or even „Fireside“ scents—candles are little mood boosters. On my wishlist is a Diptyque candle that smells like „Ambre.“
Coming home in the evening, lighting a candle, pouring a glass of Aperol—yes, you can drink that in the fall too—and firing up Netflix—that’s fall. No dinner at the beach club, no ice-cold cocktails, just pure coziness. And let’s be honest: the scent sets the mood just as much as the outfit. A candle instantly transforms a home into a cozy place—and that’s what we need right now.
9. Knitted dresses
– effortless & chic
Knit dresses are the perfect fall staple. Warm, cozy, yet super feminine. Whether oversized with boots or tailored with a belt, knit dresses always look like they’ve made an effort, even if you just throw them on quickly.
My wishlist here: a cream-colored turtleneck midi dress. Add a leather jacket (see point 1) and cowboy boots (see point 7), and you have the perfect outfit for brunch, the office, or even a date. Knit dresses simply have that „cozy but stylish“ vibe.
10. Small gold earrings
– details matt
Jewelry is often what completes an outfit in fall. Especially when wearing thick sweaters or oversized pieces, you need small details that still shine. On my wish list: small gold hoop earrings that you can wear every day. They go with everything and are the finishing touch to any outfit.
They’re not loud, not overly flashy—but that’s precisely what makes them so perfect. These are the pieces you barely notice, but without which you feel „not finished.“
11. The perfect trench coat
No autumn is complete without a trench coat. Classic beige, oversized, with a belt – simply a must-have. On my wish list is a style that’s not too stiff, but rather has a nice, loose fit. Because a trench coat instantly makes you look grown-up and sophisticated – but at the same time super cool when you wear it open and pair it with sneakers.
You can wear a trench coat businesslike at the office or casually for everyday wear. It’s the kind of garment that lasts for generations – yet still feels new every year.
12. Notebook
for the autumn restart
New month, new routine, new goals. September always feels a bit like a „second New Year.“ On my wish list is a beautiful notebook—perhaps leather-look—for to-do lists, mood boards, or just thoughts.
Because: Autumn isn’t just about fashion; autumn is also about focus. And if you’re going to take it seriously, then do it stylishly. Besides, it’s a lovely ritual to write with a pen on paper while the rain patters against the window outside.
13. Coffee Table Books
– Inspiration for the Home
Finally, something for the soul: coffee table books. Whether fashion, interiors, or travel – they not only look good, but also bring inspiration into everyday life. On my wishlist is a new book about „Parisian Chic Interiors.“ Perfect for rainy afternoons with a cup of tea.
It’s not just about looking, but also about immersing yourself in a world. Books are little escapes from everyday life – exactly what we need in September.
my summary
This summer has let us down—but maybe that’s not such a bad thing. Because now we’re all the more excited for fall. For cozy vibes, new styles, bold makeup moments, and a home that smells of pumpkin, cinnamon, and new inspiration. My September wishlist demonstrates just that: It’s not just about things, it’s about a feeling.
The feeling of getting ready for a season that brings everything—fashion, coziness, a bit of drama, and plenty of new opportunities. And because a wishlist isn’t just a shopping list, but a kind of manifesto for the coming weeks, it’s fun to rewrite it again and again.
And let’s be honest: Isn’t autumn the most beautiful season anyway?
xoxo, Vani
