Vani’s Wishlist July 2026 – The Art of beautiful Summer

VaniVanity_Wishlist July 2026

Welcome to my very own Wishlist for July 2026!

July. That word alone sounds like summer to me.

Like long evenings on terraces, Aperol in the sunshine, books by the pool, and the feeling that life suddenly becomes a little bit lighter. As I write this article, Vienna is in the midst of a heatwave. Honestly, I’m not sure if I’m melting or just existing. Probably a mix of both.

As happens every month, here is my personal wishlist once again. For anyone new here: this isn’t about things I absolutely need. Instead, it’s a collection of products, trends, little moments of luxury, and things currently inspiring me. Some items I might actually buy, while others may simply remain a lovely idea. But that is exactly what a wishlist is all about for me.

1. Light blue

is the new white

Every summer, there’s that one color that suddenly pops up everywhere. This year, for me, it’s clearly light blue. Whether on Pinterest, Instagram, in shop windows, or at my favorite brands—I see this beautiful shade, somewhere between sky blue and baby blue, everywhere. And I completely understand why. The color feels fresh and elegant, yet incredibly high-end. While white can sometimes come across as a bit stark, light blue has an airy, summery quality. It reminds me of days by the sea, striped parasols on the Italian coast, and those classic blue-and-white looks usually associated with luxury resorts.

I think the color looks especially lovely on linen dresses, shirts, or satin skirts. It feels like light blue is taking on the exact same role this summer that butter yellow played in the spring. That’s why at least one new light blue piece is right at the top of my wish list.

2. Glitter skirts

for warm summer nights

We usually associate glitter with Christmas, New Year’s Eve, or special events, but this summer seems to be different. For the past few weeks, I’ve been seeing these beautiful, glittering midi skirts everywhere—some featuring delicate sequins, others made of shimmering fabrics that catch the light and reflect it with every movement. What I love most is how effortlessly they can be styled these days. In the past, you would have automatically paired them with high heels and a clutch; now, people wear them in a relaxed way with a white tank top, flat sandals, and sunglasses.

It’s that exact contrast that appeals to me—a touch of glamour that’s still suitable for everyday wear. I can picture such a skirt being perfect for a summer evening by the Danube Canal or a dinner on a rooftop terrace. That’s why a glitter skirt will likely end up on my wish list sooner or later.

3. Biodance

& the new generation of face masks

Anyone who knows me knows that I’m incredibly curious when it comes to beauty products—especially the ones that suddenly seem to be on everyone’s lips. That’s exactly how I feel right now about these new hydrogel masks, particularly the ones from Biodance. What makes them so interesting is that you don’t just take them off after 15 minutes like traditional sheet masks; instead, they stay on your skin for several hours, gradually turning transparent as the active ingredients slowly absorb.

I find that concept alone absolutely fascinating. Especially now in summer, when our skin needs extra hydration due to the sun, heat, and air conditioning, this sounds like the perfect addition to a skincare routine. Honestly, I also just love the feeling of taking an evening to apply a mask and simply not having to do anything for a few hours. That’s why these masks are currently right at the top of my wish list.

4. Flat sandals

instead of designer hype

If you scroll through Instagram these days, you might think every other person owns those famous Hermès sandals. And yes, I have to admit: they look beautiful. At the same time, I always ask myself whether I really want to spend several hundred euros on a pair of flat sandals. Probably not. Fortunately, there are now countless alternatives that create the same elegant summer look. I particularly like leather styles in brown, black, or cream; they look timeless and go with almost any outfit.

In summer, I much prefer wearing flat shoes over high heels anyway. It gets hot enough in Vienna in July, so I want to at least treat my feet well. That’s why I’m currently on the hunt for the perfect sandals—ones that look chic, are comfortable, and will see me through the entire summer.

5. Hair accessories

to beat the heatwave

I think every woman with long hair knows the feeling. As soon as temperatures climb toward 35 degrees, all you really want to do is get your hair out of your face. That is exactly why I love hair accessories so much in the summer; they are practical yet look beautiful. Lately, I’ve been seeing oversized scrunchies, elegant hair clips, and bows everywhere. I’m particularly fond of large clips because they can rescue any hairstyle in seconds.

At the same time, they instantly add a feminine touch to even the simplest outfit. On some days, my entire summer look feels like nothing more than a dress, sunglasses, and a lovely hair clip—sometimes, that’s all you need. That’s why I’m definitely going to expand my collection this summer; hair accessories have more than earned their spot on my wish list.

6. Personalized jewelry

with meaning

I used to choose jewelry simply based on whether it looked beautiful. Now, however, I prefer pieces that tell a little story. That is exactly why I love the trend of personalized jewelry. Initials, small charms, pearls, bows, or symbols with personal significance feel much more special to me than classic trendy pieces. Perhaps it is because such pieces are often worn for years, becoming a constant companion. They serve as reminders of people, travels, or special moments.

What’s more, they fit perfectly with the timeless style I currently love so much. Gold chains with small charms look beautiful paired with everything from summer dresses to a simple white T-shirt. That is why I am currently on the lookout for a new piece of jewelry that not only looks lovely but also holds meaning.

7. Books

& Aperol and disappearing for hours

For me, reading has never been just a hobby. When a book really grips me, it almost turns into a minor obsession. I lose all track of time and immerse myself so deeply in the story that everything else suddenly fades into the background. That is exactly why I love summer. There is hardly anything better than sitting by the pool, on the beach, or on a lounge chair and reading for hours on end.

While others might watch TV series, I prefer to disappear into the worlds that form in my mind—accompanied by an Aperol, the scent of sunscreen in the air, and the sound of water in the background. Honestly, that sounds like a perfect summer day to me. That’s why I have several new books right at the top of my wish list.

8. Try out

outdoor sports

For me, the warm months are always a time when I feel the urge to try new things. I work out at the gym all year round, but as soon as the sun comes out, I’m automatically drawn outdoors. In recent weeks, for instance, I’ve discovered a love for padel. It’s incredibly fun, much less complicated than tennis, and has that social aspect I enjoy so much.

At the same time, there are so many other sports I’d love to try out—beach volleyball, golf, stand-up paddleboarding, or perhaps even something completely new. I think summer is the perfect opportunity to broaden one’s horizons and discover new hobbies. That’s why my July wishlist isn’t just about a specific product; it’s primarily about the desire to try something new and perhaps find a new passion along the way.

my summary

Looking at this wishlist, I notice that this month isn’t really about big purchases. Instead, it’s the little things that make summer lovelier. A new book. A pretty hair clip. The perfect sandals. A sport you’ve never tried before.

Perhaps that is precisely the magic of summer. You often don’t need much to be happy. A free afternoon, a good book, the right company, and a bit of sunshine are sometimes all it takes.

I’m curious to see which of these things will actually find their way into my wardrobe, my bookshelf, or my daily life. Probably more than I’d like to admit right now. But now I’d love to know: what’s on your wishlist for July? Is there a trend, a product, or perhaps even a summer experience you’re dying to try?

In the meantime, I wish you a wonderful July filled with little moments of happiness, spontaneous adventures, balmy summer evenings, and plenty of lasting memories.

All the best,

Vani
